Overview
This standard has been prepared by standards committee NA 140-00-22 AA "Technische Dokumente und Maschinenelemente" ("Technical documentation and machine elements (NABw TD/Ma)") at DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE). The present standard is a product standard for marking. The standard applies to the marking of maintenance points for oils, greases, cooling and hydraulic fluids, urea solution as well as essential detachable connections on Bundeswehr vehicles and equipment. The markings for maintenance points specified in this standard serve not only to facilitate fast identification, reliable distinction between media and maintenance points as well as for avoiding confusion, but also to protect the operating and maintenance personnel. The type of media is clearly defined by the corresponding color coding. Maintenance will thereby be alleviated and accelerated.
