Overview
This standard is a product standard for plug-and-socket devices. This standard covers shrouded connectors including earthing contact in connection with the respective standards of the same VG-main-number (subsequent parts) and contains the requirements and test conditions which are the same for these connectors. Shrouded connectors according to this standard are subject to type test according to VG 95211. The committee responsible for the standard is NA 140-00-14-03 UA "Steckvorrichtungen" ("Plugs and socket-outlets") of DIN Standards Committee Electrical Engineering (NE).
