Overview
The presented standard is a selection specification for electrical connection elements. The committee responsible for the standard is NA 140-00-14-04 UA "Kabelschuhe und Verbinder" ("Electrical connection elements") of the Electrical Engineering Standards Committee (NE) at DIN. This standard applies to electrical connection elements in connection with the generic specification VG 96933-2. It represents a supplement to electrical connection elements according to VG 96933-10, VG 96933-11, VG 96933-12 and VG 96933-13, VG 96933-14 and VG 96933-20 and incorporates a selection of terminal lugs and splices according to SAE AS 7928/5A, SAE AS 20659C, SAE AS 25036C, SAE AS 25274A and SAE AS 81824/1 specifications for use in the entire field of the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces). The purpose of the standard is to ensure the logistical requirements.
