Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Including Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and Lighting Protection - Fundamentals - Part 2: Terms; Text in German and English
Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions that shall apply for the preparation of EMC documentation for the German Armed Forces (Bundeswehr). Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) as defined in this standard includes protection against electromagnetic pulse (EMP), atmospheric lightning, and electrostatic discharge (ESD). EMP is used as the generic term for electromagnetic pulses such as nuclear electromagnetic pulse (NEMP), and lightning electromagnetic pulse (LEMP); however, it does not refer to the direct lightning stroke.
