DIN Standards Committee Pressurized Gas Installations
DIN 51853
Testing of fuel gases - Sampling
Prüfung von Brenngasen - Probenahme
Overview
This document has been prepared by NA 062-05-73 AA "Gasanalyse und Gasbeschaffenheit" ("Gas analysis and gas quality") of the Materials Testing Standards Committee (NMP), in collaboration with the Standardization Committee of Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products (FAM) of NMP, the Mining Standards Committee (FABERG) and the Gas Technology Standards Committee (NAGas) at DIN. This document contains Amendment 1:2009-01 to DIN 51853:1995-11, which involves the deletion of natural gas from the Scope of this standard. With the exception of the previously mentioned amendment, no further amendments have been made in comparison with the previous edition; neither editorially nor technically. This amendment has become necessary because ISO 10715 was adopted into the German body of standards as DIN EN ISO 10715 "Erdgas - Probenahmerichtlinien" ("Natural gas - Sampling guidelines") and the Scopes of DIN 51853:1995-11 and DIN EN ISO 10715 overlap. This overlapping no longer exists with the publishing of the amended DIN 51853. This standard is applicable for sampling of fuel gases according to DIN 1340, with the exception of natural gas for which the sampling guidelines are specified in DIN EN ISO 10715 and liquefied petroleum gas according to DIN 51622, the sampling of which is described in DIN 51610.
