DIN Standards Committee Rolling Bearings and Plain Bearings

Overview

This standard has been prepared by the Rolling Bearings and Plain Bearings Standards Committee, Working Committee NA 118-01-02 AA "Kugellager und Spannlager einschließlich Teile, allgemeines Wälzlagerzubehör und Gehäuse" ("Ball bearings and inside bearings, including parts, general rolling bearings accessories and housings").
This standard specifies dimensions and symbols for double row rolling bearings with or without sealing and with cylindrical and tapered bore.
In consideration of the general plan of boundary dimensions stated in DIN 616, it offers an adjusted selection of self-aligning ball bearings of this design for the practical needs of the user.
With respect to DIN 630:1993-11, the following modifications have been made: a) standard has been editorially revised; b) Table 1, dimensional range has been extended from d = 120 mm to d = 240 mm and for d = 110 mm, dimension series have been added; c) Table 2, dimensional range has been extended from d = 60 mm to d = 70 mm; d) Table 1, symbols for bearings with tapered bore ("K") have been added for d = 70 mm; e) weight values have been deleted in Tables 1 and 2; f) normative references have been deleted.
With respect to DIN 630:2009-09, the following corrections have been made: g) numerical value "0" in the first position of the symbol for cylindrical bores in Table 1 for bore diameters d = 5 mm to d = 9 mm and d = 90 mm to d = 130 mm (example: 0135 changed into 135 or 01219 changed into 1219); h) correction of symbol in Table 1 for d = 70 mm for B = 35 mm from 1214 K to 1314 K; i) editorial alignments in Tables 1 and 2.
