Overview
The European Standard is a new edition. In addition to purity criteria and the corresponding analytical methods, it defines requirements for the labelling, transport and storage of the respective products, as well as specific safety rules. It also contains information on physical and chemical properties and general information on the production and application of the products. The European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 164/WG 9 "Drinking water treatment" (secretariat: AFNOR, France). The responsible German standardization committee is DIN-DVGW Joint Committee NA 119-07-13 AA "Aufbereitungsstoffe und -anlagen" ("Chemicals and plants for water treatment") at DIN Standards Committee Water Practice (NAW).
