Glass fibre reinforced unsaturated polyester resin (UP-GF) pipes - Part 2: Wound, filled, general quality requirements, testing
Rohre aus glasfaserverstärktem Polyesterharz (UP-GF) - Teil 2: Gewickelt, gefüllt, allgemeine Güteanforderungen, Prüfung
Overview
This standard applies to continuously wound pipes made of filled, glass fiber reinforced plastics (GRP) based on unsaturated polyester resins (UP resin) with dimensions according to DIN 16868-1, which are intended for use with or without pressure for tensile and non-tensile designs. The pipes are specified according to stiffness classes, to which nominal pressure ratings are assigned. They are mainly laid underground and stressed by internal pressure or operated without pressure. In technical delivery conditions for specific areas of application, individual requirements may be omitted or supplemented. It should be noted that European product standards exist for special areas of application and shall be observed. A number of these European product standards have been included in the references for information purposes. Since the European standards are subject to constant revision, no guarantee can be given for the completeness of this list. The user or client is responsible for the appropriate selection of these criteria, taking into account their own requirements and applicable national specifications and installation practices or codes. Recommendations for the assessment of conformity for products according to this standard are given in DIN CEN/TS 14632. This responsible committee for this standard is NA 054-05-09 AA "Rohre und Rohrleitungsteile aus Reaktionsharzformstoffen" ("Pipes and pipe fittings made of reaction resin moulded materials") at DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK).
