Water quality - Determination of low-volatility lipophilic substances - Gravimetric method (ISO 11349:2010)
Wasserbeschaffenheit - Bestimmung von schwerflüchtigen lipophilen Stoffen - Gravimetrisches Verfahren (ISO 11349:2010)
Overview
This document specifies a chemical analysis method for the determination of lipophilic substances of low volatility in water using gravimetry. The method is applicable to all kinds of water and allows the determination of low-volatility lipophilic substances which are suspended, emulsified, or dissolved, in concentrations of about 10 mg/l to 500 mg/l. Above this value, the test portion is diluted appropriately. The method is not applicable to water with a separate oil layer. This standard differs from DIN 38409-56:2009-06 as follows: - - the quality of the water used has been changed from 1 to 3 if unsuitable distilled or deionized water is used; - - in addition to olive oil, the use of sunflower oil as edible oil is now permitted. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 147 "Water quality", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible German committee is Working Group NA 119-01-03-01-08 AK "Schwerflüchtige lipophile Verbindungen" ("Low-volatility lipophilic compounds") of Working Committee NA 119-01-03 AA NA 119-01-03 AA "Wasseruntersuchung" ("Water examination") at DIN Standards Committee Water Practice (NAW).
