Plastics piping and ducting systems - Determination of the long-term hydrostatic strength of thermoplastics materials in pipe form by extrapolation (ISO 9080:2012); German and English version EN ISO 9080:2012
Kunststoff-Rohrleitungs- und Schutzrohrsysteme - Bestimmung des Zeitstand-Innendruckverhaltens von thermoplastischen Rohrwerkstoffen durch Extrapolation (ISO 9080:2012); Deutsche und Englische Fassung EN ISO 9080:2012
Overview
This standard describes a method for the assessment of the long-term hydrostatic strength of thermoplastic materials by statistical extrapolation. This method is applicable to all types of thermoplastic pipes at applicable temperatures. It was developed on the basis of test data from pipe systems. The dimensions of the pipes to be tested may be specified in the corresponding product/system standards; they shall be included in the test report. The standard is directed at manufacturers, test facilities and users of thermoplastic pipes. With this document the user is provided with a planning (calculation) standard for assessment of the long-term hydrostatic strength of thermoplastic materials by statistical extrapolation. The standard contains in particular aspects of quality and product safety. DIN EN ISO 9080 is the German version of ISO 9080 and EN ISO 9080. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 054-05-02 AA "Prüfverfahren für Rohre" ("Test methods for pipes") at the Plastics Standards Committee (FNK) at DIN.
