DIN EN ISO 15175
Soil quality - Characterization of soil related to groundwater protection (ISO 15175:2004); German version EN ISO 15175:2011
Bodenbeschaffenheit - Ermittlung von Kennwerten des Bodens hinsichtlich des Wirkungspfads Boden - Grundwasser (ISO 15175:2004); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 15175:2011
Overview
Soils have a lasting influence on both the water balance and groundwater quality due to their storage and filter functions (mechanical, chemical) and transformation functions. This International Standard provides guidance on the evaluation of sites, soils, and soil materials in relation to their role as a source of contamination of groundwater and their function in transporting, degrading and transforming contaminants. Furthermore, it provides guidance on the data that might be required in an assessment, and indicates for which parameters or procedures International Standards are already available.
