This standard specifies requirements for the general properties, the types of stress, the planning of the structure and the substrate of the roof waterproofing. Together with DIN 18531-2, -3, -4 and -5, this document applies to the planning and execution of waterproofing for non-utilized and utilized roofs and the waterproofing of balconies, loggias and walkways in new buildings as well as for maintenance and renovation.
