DIN 22022-7
Solid fuels - Determination of contents of trace elements - Part 7: ICP-MS
Feste Brennstoffe - Bestimmung der Gehalte an Spurenelementen - Teil 7: ICP-MS
Overview
The method specified in this standard is suitable for determination of mass concentration of trace elements in digestion solutions of solid fuels and combustion residues in accordance with DIN 22022-1 with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS). For this method, digestion solution is transferred into the inductively coupled plasma. The inductively coupled plasma is a gas which is ionized in the high-frequency field serving as atomization or excitation medium for the injected fluid or dissolved sample. For detection an attached spectrometer is used. The contents of the individual elements are determined by calibration with element standards. The performance characteristics were determined during a collaborative study which was carried out in spring 2012 and in which 7 laboratories participated. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 008-12-02 AA "Prüfung fester Brennstoffe" ("Testing Solid Fuels") at the Mining Standards Committee (FABERG).
