Produkte zur Aufbereitung von Wasser für den menschlichen Gebrauch - Eisen(III)sulfat-Lösung; Deutsche Fassung EN 890:2012
Overview
This European Standard is a new edition. In addition to purity criteria and the corresponding methods of analysis, labelling, transportation and storage requirements of the corresponding products as well as specific rules relating to safety are specified. It also contains information on physical and chemical properties as well as general information on the manufacture and use of the products. The standard is cited in the list of preparation substances and disinfection processes in compliance with § 11 of the German Drinking Water Ordinance, which means that the relevant products can be used for treatment of drinking water in Germany. Iron(III)sulphate is thereby used as a coagulant. The European Standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 164/WG 9 "Drinking water treatment" (secretariat: AFNOR, France) with the active German collaboration of Working Committee NA 119-04-02 AA of the same name at NAW.
