Overview
This document is a new edition of DIN EN ISO 21003-2. It contains requirements and test methods for pipes for multilayer piping systems intended to be used for hot and cold water installations inside buildings for the conveyance of water whether or not the water is intended for human consumption (domestic systems) and for heating systems. This new edition takes into account Amendment 1 of the underlying International Standard ISO 21003-7:2008, which has been published separately by ISO as ISO 21003-2:2008/Amd 1:2011. The subjects of Amendment 1 are supplementary specifications relating to thermal durability of the outer layers of multilayer pipes type M. The International Amendment has been prepared by ISO/TC 138/SC 2/WG 6 "Plastic pipes and fittings for water supplies - Reinforced polyolefin piping systems" (secretariat: NBN, Belgium). The corresponding initiative came from the German Mirror Committee, the Joint Subcommittee NA 119-04-06-06 GUA "Kunststoffrohre in der Trinkwasserversorgung - Mehrschichtrohrsysteme" ("Plastic pipes in the drinking water supply - Multilayer piping systems").
