DIN EN ISO 22391-2
Plastics piping systems for hot and cold water installations - Polyethylene of raised temperature resistance (PE-RT) - Part 2: Pipes (ISO 22391-2:2009); German version EN ISO 22391-2:2009
Kunststoff-Rohrleitungssysteme für die Warm- und Kaltwasserinstallation - Polyethylen erhöhter Temperaturbeständigkeit (PE-RT) - Teil 2: Rohre (ISO 22391-2:2009); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 22391-2:2009
Overview
((DIN EN ISO 22391-1, DIN EN ISO 22391-2, DIN EN ISO 22391-3, DIN EN ISO 22391-5)) The standards specify the requirements and test methods for pipeline components made of PE-RT, Type I and Type II, their joints and to joints with pipeline components of other plastics or other non-plastic materials intended to be used in piping systems which are used for hot and cold water installations within buildings, whether or not the water is intended for human consumption (domestic systems) and for heating systems. Part 1 contains general requirements, for instance terminology, classes of application, appropriate service conditions and requirements for materials. Part 2 and part 3 include furthermore separate specifications for pipes and fittings regarding general, geometrical, mechanical and physical properties and for marking, respectively. Part 5 provides a basis for the assessment of the fitness for purpose of the system consisting of the single components pipe, fitting and joint. The International Standards have been prepared by ISO/TC 138/SC 2/WG 1 "Plastic piping systems for hot and cold water applications" (secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom) with the active German collaboration of Joint Subcommittee NA 119-04-06-05 GUA "Kunststoffrohre in der Trinkwasserversorgung - Warm- und Kaltwasserleitungen" ("Plastic pipes in the drinking water supply - Hot water and cold water pipes") of NAW.
