Abstract
This document specifies a method for the determination of trifluoroacetic acid (TFA) in drinking water, groundwater and surface water using liquid chromatography and mass spectrometric detection. Depending on the matrix, a working range between ≥ 0,1 µg/l and 3 µg/l can be assumed. The determination is carried out by direct injection. The applicability of the method to other waters (e.g. mineral water, rainwater, wastewater) is not excluded.
