Plastics piping systems for hot and cold water installations - Crosslinked polyethylene (PE-X) - Part 5: Fitness for purpose of the system (ISO/DIS 15875-5:2024); German and English version prEN ISO 15875-5:2024
Abstract
This part of DIN EN ISO 15875 specifies requirements for the fitness for purpose of piping systems made of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-X) which are used in hot and cold water installations within buildings for the conveyance of drinking or service water (domestic installations) and for heating systems, taking into account the relevant permissible operating pressure and the temperatures applicable to the respective application class. This standard contains specifications for application classes relating to operating conditions and specifications for permissible operating pressures. It also specifies the test parameters for the test methods referred to in this standard. Together with the other parts of DIN EN ISO 15875, this part applies to pipes and fittings made of PE-X, their connections to each other and to piping components made of other plastics or metallic materials that are intended for hot and cold water installations.
