Plastics piping systems for hot and cold water installations - Crosslinked polyethylene (PE-X) - Part 2: Pipes (ISO/DIS 15875-2:2024); German and English version prEN ISO 15875-2:2024

Abstract

This part of DIN EN ISO 15875 specifies requirements for pipes made of cross-linked polyethylene (PE-X) that are used in hot and cold water installations within buildings for the conveyance of drinking or service water (domestic installations) and for heating systems, taking into account the relevant permissible operating pressure and the temperatures applicable to the respective application class. This standard contains specifications for application classes relating to operating conditions as well as specifications for permissible operating pressures and dimension classes. It also specifies the test parameters for the test methods referred to in this standard. Together with the other parts of DIN EN ISO 15875, this part applies to pipes made of PE-X, their joints with each other and with other pipe components made of PE-X, other plastics or metallic materials intended for hot and cold water installations. This standard applies to pipes with and without barrier layer(s).
