Overview
The standard contains requirements for the supply and purchase as well as for the use and test methods for closures for beverage bottles. The standard applies to one-piece and two-piece screw caps made of PE and PP for 28 mm mouthpieces and rolled-on closures made from Al for 28 mm mouthpieces, in each case with or without tamper-evident ring. The standard replaces DIN 55406:2007-04. The standard has been prepared by Working Committees NA 115-02-09 AA "Behältnisse aus Kunststoff" ("Plastic packages") and NA 115-02-04 AA "Behältnisse aus Glas" ("Glass packaging") at the DIN Standards Committee Packaging (NAVp).
