Overview
The standard contains requirements for delivery and purchase as well as the use and test methods for closures of beverage bottles. The standard applies to one- and two-piece screw caps made from polyethylene (PE) or polypropylene (PP) for 28 mm mouthpieces and rolled-on closures made from aluminium (Al) for 28 mm mouthpieces, each with or without tamper-evident ring. The standard replaces DIN 55406:2007-04. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 115-02-09 AA "Behältnisse aus Kunststoff" ("Plastic packages") and Working Committee NA 115-02-04 AA "Behältnisse aus Glas" ("Glass containers") at DIN Standards Committee Packaging (NAVp).
