DIN Standards Committee Packaging

About NAVp

The DIN Standards Committee Packaging (NAVp) is responsible for the standardization of all technical and organizational elements of the physical distribution of goods as well as for the necessary principles and requirements.
These technical and organizational elements include

  • means of packaging,
  • transport containers up to 3 m³ - excluding tanks -,
  • packaging systems,
  • and unit loads,

as long as these do not belong to a specific means of transport. The scope covers all relevant means which are necessary for forming, securing and testing packaging, packages and unit loads.
The DIN Standards Committee Packaging (NAVp) coordinates German participation in the field of packaging standardization at European and international level, and holds secretariats of several European and international standardization committees in selected fields.
