DIN 14421
Pressure gauges (manometer) for fire pumps
Druckmessgeräte (Manometer) für Feuerwehrpumpen
Overview
The standard specifies requirements for indicating pressure gauges (manometers) with diaphragm as an elastic measuring element for measuring positive and/or negative pressures. Pressure gauges are mainly used in the fire department for normal pressure pumps according to DIN EN 1028-1 (fire-fighting centrifugal pumps with primer) or DIN EN 14710-1 (fire-fighting centrifugal pumps without primer). The March 2001 edition of DIN 14421 has been revised to bring the content of the standard up to date. In particular: - the confirmation of conformity in the former Annex A and in Clause 6 (marking) has been revised and adapted to the applicable rules for confirmation of conformity; - the pointer coloring has been added; - the standard number DIN 14421 has been added to the dial, but the DIN association symbol has been omitted; - the normative references and the bibliography have been updated. The standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 031-04-05 AA "Feuerlöschpumpen - SpA zu CEN/TC 192/WG 2" ("Firefighting pumps - mirror committee of CEN/TC 192/WG 2") at DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection (FNFW).
