PN 250 and PN 400 valves without test connection for pressure gauges
Abstract
This document is applicable to valves for pressure gauges for use in pressure measuring setups for liquids, gases and vapours, without a test connection, for a maximum allowable pressure of 250 bar (brass) and 400 bar (steel and stainless steel) and a maximum allowable temperature of 120 °C.
Two design types are specified: Form A (with adjusting nut) and Form B (with nipple connection and shaft for measuring instruments supports according to DIN 16281). This document does not cover sealing washers; for these, DIN EN 837-1 applies. DIN 16271 applies to PN 250 and PN 400 valves for pressure gauges with test connection.
