DIN Standards Committee Tank Installations

Overview

This standard has been prepared by CEN/TC 218/WG 1 "Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies for industrial for industrial chemical and petrochemical applications" (secretariat: Germany). The responsible national Mirror Committee is Working Committee NA 104-02-01 AA "Schlauchleitungen" ("Hose assemblies") at NATank. This standard specifies requirements for two types of hose assemblies (Types D and SD) with hoses made of rubber or thermoplastics and hose fittings made of metal designed to convey liquid or gaseous chemical substances. The hose assemblies are intended for use with chemicals conveyed in the temperature range of -20 °C to +65 °C at working pressure ≤ 10 bar.
