Equestrian sports facilities - Part 1: Design, functional and safety requirements
Abstract
The purpose of this standard is to specify functional and safety requirements for the construction of equestrian facilities in order to protect all users and third parties (e.g. visitors, spectators) from hazards to a large extent. It deals with the safety of the user without a horse, in handling the horse and during equestrian sports. Exceptions can be made for technical reasons, especially if the safety of the horse affects that of the human being. The term "horse" in this standard also includes that of ponies.
