Overview
The DIN Specification contains the German translation of ISO/TR 22100-1:2015, prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 199 "Safety of machinery" (Secretariat: DIN, Germany) of the International Committee for Standardization (ISO). This Specification has been prepared to assist designers/manufacturers of machinery and machinery components in understanding and making a targeted selection of the various types of ISO standards relating to machinery safety. The underlying ISO Technical Report identifies the different types of ISO documents (see Table B.1) and explains the classification of machine safety standards into Type A standards, Type B standards and Type C standards, as well as their mutual relationship in the practical design of machines for the realization of sufficient risk reduction and consequently the achievement of acceptable risk. The responsible German committee is Joint Working Committee NA 095-01-01 GA "Allgemeine Grundsätze und Terminologie" ("General principles and terminology") at DIN Standards Committee Safety Design Principles (NASG) with NAM and DKE.
