Overview
This product standard contains requirements for heated banquet trolleys for use in mass catering. Banquet trolleys are intended for accommodation and transportation of catering containers and racks according to DIN EN 631 and trays according to DIN 18874 including the dishes contained therein. These trolleys are equipped with a heating unit for keeping the dishes warm. The major focus is on requirements regarding safety, construction and operational mode as well as hygiene aspects. With this standard it is ensured that the customer acquires banquet trolleys which meet the requirements and demands regarding daily use which exist in the field of mass catering. The committee responsible for this standard is NA 040-05-02 AA "Großküchengeräte" ("Equipment for commercial kitchens") at DIN.
