Machines for surface cleaning and pre-treatment of industrial items using liquids or vapours - Part 1: Common safety requirements; German version EN 12921-1:2005+A1:2010
Maschinen zur Oberflächenreinigung und -vorbehandlung von industriellen Produkten mittels Flüssigkeiten oder Dampfphasen - Teil 1: Allgemeine Sicherheitsanforderungen; Deutsche Fassung EN 12921-1:2005+A1:2010
Overview
This standard defines relevant requirements set out in Annex I of the new EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, relating to machines which were placed on the European Economic Area (EEA) market for the first time, with the intent of simplifying the means of proving conformity with such requirements. Once this standard is designated a harmonized standard in the Official Journal of the European Communities, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (the so-called presumption of conformity). This standard deals with the machine-specific significant hazards, describes the related safety requirements and/or protective measures and requirements for the information for use. The national interests during the preparation of the standard were represented by the Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee (NAM) at DIN. Representatives of manufacturers and operators of surface treatment technology installations, as well as representatives of professional and trade associations were involved in the preparation of the standard.
