Quality requirements for composite processes
Abstract
This document specifies the basic requirements and general terms for working with fiber-reinforced plastics (hereinafter referred to as "composites") and the requirements for companies that manufacture and use composites (hereinafter referred to as user companies). It represents the state of the art for the organization of composites processes across all industries. In addition, this document specifies safety classes into which each composite material / component covered by this document is to be classified. This document applies along the entire process chain - from development to production to maintenance and repair - to the areas of development of composites / composite components (pre-production), production of composites / composite components (in-production), maintenance and including repair of composites / composite components (post-production) and quality assurance of the three areas mentioned. This document explains general organizational, administrative and manufacturing fundamentals for the above-mentioned areas. It applies to every composite material / every composite component, irrespective of the matrix and fiber material used and irrespective of the area of application of the composite material / composite component.
