DIN Standards Committee Welding and allied processes

Overview

This standard includes general guidelines for the workmanlike production of metallic, metal-ceramic, oxide-ceramic and plastic coatings, by means of thermal spraying on metallic and non-metallic parent materials. This standard differs from DIN EN 14616:2005-02 as follows: a) the technical substance of the standard has not been changed; b) further normative references have been added to Clause 2 and the Bibliography has been updated; c) Subclauses 15.3 (Testing accompanying specimens) and 15.4 (Scope of tests) have been deleted; d) the informative Annex A (Structure of available standards in the field of thermal spraying) has been deleted. The text of ISO 12679:2011 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 107 "Metallic and other inorganic coatings" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and adopted as FprEN ISO 12679:2015 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 240 "Thermal spraying and thermal sprayed coatings", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible German standardization committee is DIN/DVS Joint Committee NA 092-00-14 AA (DVS AG V 7) "Thermisches Spritzen und thermisch gespritzte Schichten " ("Thermal spraying and thermal sprayed coatings") at DIN Standards Committee Welding and allied processes (NAS).
