Overview
The International Standard ISO 12671 has been prepared by ISO/TC 107 "Metallic or other inorganic coatings" in 2012 and has been adopted in the Unique Acceptance Procedure by CEN/TC 240 "Thermal spraying and thermally sprayed coatings" as European Standard EN ISO 12671. The responsible German standardizing body is Joint Committee DIN/DVS AA 14/AGV 7 of the same name. The International Standard includes rules which shall be applied to the symbolic representation of thermally sprayed coatings on drawings. The symbolic representation shall express all necessary information about the respective coating without overloading the drawing with an additional view or detail enlargement. It consists of a basic symbol, one or more additional symbols and further information.
