Specification and qualification of welding procedures for metallic materials - Welding procedure specification - Part 5: Resistance welding (ISO 15609-5:2011); German version EN ISO 15609-5:2011
Anforderung und Qualifizierung von Schweißverfahren für metallische Werkstoffe - Schweißanweisung - Teil 5: Widerstandsschweißen (ISO 15609-5:2011); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 15609-5:2011
Overview
This standard specifies requirements for the content of welding procedure specifications for resistance spot, seam, butt and projection welding processes. The acceptability of applying the principles of this standard to other resistance and related welding processes should be established before any qualification is undertaken. This standard is part of a series. Details of this series are given in EN ISO 15607:2003, Annex A. Variables listed in this standard are those influencing either weld dimensions (quality), weld nugget dimensions, weld pattern positioning, mechanical properties or geometry of the welded joint. The underlying International Standard (ISO 15609-5:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44/SC 6 "Resistance welding and allied mechanical joining" (secretariat: DIN), in collaboration with CEN/TC 121 "Welding", the secretariat of which is held by DIN. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 092-00-12-02 AK "Punkt-, Buckel- und Rollennahtschweißen (DVS AG V 3.2)" ("Spot, resistance and seam welding (DVS AG V 3.2)") of the Welding Standards Committee (NAS) at DIN.
