Overview
This standard specifies technical delivery conditions for filler materials and fluxes for fusion welding. It does not apply to other auxiliary materials such as shielding gases. With respect to the previous standard, further types of spools and coils have been added and the length tolerance for covered electrodes has been increased. This document (EN ISO 544:2011) has been prepared by ISO/TC 44 "Welding and allied processes", in collaboration with CEN/TC 121 "Welding" (secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 092-00-03 AA "Schweißzusätze (DVS AG W 5)" ("Welding consumables (DVS AG W 5)") of the Welding Standards Committee (NAS).
