Image quality assurance in diagnostic X-ray departments - Part 13: RöV constancy test of projection radiography systems with digital image receptors
Sicherung der Bildqualität in röntgendiagnostischen Betrieben - Teil 13: Konstanzprüfung nach RöV bei Projektionsradiographie mit digitalen Bildempfänger-Systemen
Overview
This part of the standard applies to the constancy test of projection radiography equipment working, for example, with imaging plates or with semiconductor image receivers and where the diagnosis is carried out using a film at the viewing box or image display device (on-screen diagnosis). Standards have already been published for parts of components of the digital radiography systems. Testing of the hard copy camera or image display device is therefore not dealt with in this standard. This part of the standard applies together with DIN 6868-1, DIN 6868-3 and DIN V 6868-12. It does not apply for digital image intensifier radiography, digital mammography and digital dental radiographic equipment. This part of the standard provides a method which helps to test the constancy of decisive performance characteristics of X-ray equipment for digital radiography without mechanical or electrical interventions. An additional method for measurement of the pixel values instead of luminance has been incorporated into the new version. This part of the standard has been prepared by Working Committee NA 080-00-06 AA "Bildgebende Systeme" ("Imaging systems") of the Radiology Standards Committee.
