Rotary shaft lip type seals for automobiles — Part 1: Terms, formula symbols, tolerances, radial load
Abstract
This document defines terms, dimensional letters and tolerances for radial shaft seals (RSS) for use in motor vehicle construction. Not all of the dimensional letters listed are valid for every RSS. The dimensional letters required for acceptance in individual applications must be agreed between the manufacturer and the customer. An example of an order drawing is given in section 9. DIN 3760 applies to rotary shaft seals used in general mechanical engineering.
