This document has been prepared by Working Committee NA 60-36-90 AA "Ausführungsrichtlinie Hydraulik" ("Execution guideline hydraulics") of Technical Section "Fluid power systems" of Standards Committee Mechanical Engineering (NAM) at DIN. This edition of the standard DIN 24339 replaces the edition DIN 24339:1993-06. This standard differs from DIN 24339:1993-06 as follows: a) the title has been changed to specify that the standard deals with reservoirs for hydraulics; b) the reservoir nominal sizes 1600 and 2000 have been added; c) cover form D has been deleted, form E has been newly included; d) liquid level indicators have been included; e) flow calming device has been included. This standard applies to reservoirs made of steel for use in stationary hydraulic systems at atmospheric reservoir pressure.
