DIN Standards Committee Mechanical Engineering

Overview

This amendment contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the "Machinery Directive", Directive 2006/42/EC, which apply to machines that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the European Economic Area (EEA) market. This amendment deals with machine-specific significant hazards, describes the associated safety requirements and/or safety measures as well as the requirements for the information for use. This amendment contains the German version of Amendment A3:2012 to EN 1459:1998 which has been prepared by CEN/TC 150 "Industrial trucks - Safety" of the European Committee for Standardization (CEN). During the preparation of this standard the national interests were represented by Committee NA 060-22-43 AA "Flurförderzeuge mit veränderlicher Reichweite" at Technical Section "Fördertechnik" ("Conveying technology") of the Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee (NAM) at DIN. Representatives of manufacturers and users of industrial trucks and of the employers' liability insurance associations contributed to the preparation of the standard.
