Overview
This standard applies for bright key steel (bright steel for the manufacturing of keys and parallel keys) in bars with square, rectangular or flat rectangular cross-sections and is an important basis for production quality of these steel products. The responsible German standardization committee is Subcommittee 21/1 "Maßnormen für Langerzeugnisse - Blankstahl" ("Dimensional standards for long products - Bright steel") of the Iron and Steel Standards Committee (FES).
