Industrieventilatoren - Leistungsmessung von Strahlventilatoren (ISO 13350:1999); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 13350:2008

Overview

This standard contains the German version of EN ISO 13350:2008 which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 117 "Fans" of the European Committee of Standardization (CEN). The secretariat is held by the BSI, United Kingdom. The national interests during the preparation of this standard were represented by Technical Section Air handling technology of the Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee (NAM) at DIN. So-called jet fans are increasingly installed to assist in controlling the quality of air in vehicle and train tunnels. The longitudinal method of ventilation demonstrates advantages in initial cost and running cost compared to alternative methods, and smoke control in emergency conditions can be readily provided. This International Standard deals with the determination of those technical characteristics needed to describe all aspects of the performance of jet fans as defined in ISO 13349. It does not cover those fans designed for ducted applications, nor those designed solely for air circulation, for example, ceiling fans and table fans. The test procedures described in this International Standard relate to laboratory conditions. The measurement of performance under on-site conditions is not included in this standard.
