DIN EN 12621
Machinery for the supply and circulation of coating materials under pressure - Safety requirements; German version EN 12621:2006+A1:2010
Förder- und Umlaufanlagen für Beschichtungsstoffe unter Druck - Sicherheitsanforderungen; Deutsche Fassung EN 12621:2006+A1:2010
Overview
This standard defines relevant requirements set out in Annex I of the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, relating to machinery for the circulation of materials which were placed on the European Economic Area (EEA) market for the first time, with the intent of simplifying the means of proving conformity with such requirements. Once this standard is designated a harmonized standard in the Official Journal of the European Communities, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (the so-called presumption of conformity). This standard deals with the machine-specific significant hazards, describes the associated safety requirements and/or protective measures and the requirements regarding the information for use. This standard contains the German version of Amendment A1:2010 to EN 12621:2006, which has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 271 "Surface treatment equipment - Safety" of the European Committee of Standardization (CEN). The national interests during the preparation of the standard were represented by the Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee (NAM), Technical Section General Ventilation, at DIN. Representatives of manufacturers and operators of surface treatment technology installations, as well as representatives of professional and trade associations were involved in the preparation of the standard.
