Fluidtechnik - Allgemeine Regeln und sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen an Pneumatikanlagen und deren Bauteile (ISO 4414:2010); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 4414:2010
Overview
This standard defines relevant requirements set out in Annex I of the EC Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, relating to machines which were placed on the European Economic Area (EEA) market for the first time, with the intent of simplifying the means of proving conformity with such requirements. Once this standard is designated a harmonized standard in the Official Journal of the European Communities, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the Machinery Directive (the so-called presumption of conformity). This International Standard specifies general rules and safety requirements for pneumatic fluid power systems and their components used on machinery as defined by ISO 12100:2010, 3.1. It gives significant hazards associated with pneumatic fluid power systems and specifies principles to apply in order to avoid those hazards when the systems are put to their intended use. This standard contains the German version of EN ISO 4414:2010 which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 131 "Fluid power systems", in collaboration with CEN/TC 114 "Safety of machinery" at the European Committee of Standardization (CEN). The following amendments have been made with respect to DIN EN 989:2009-06: The standard has been fundamentally revised. In this regard, the functional requirements contained in ISO 4414:1998 have been updated and adopted. The national interests during the preparation of this standard were represented by Committee NA 060-36-21-05 AK "Ausführungsrichtlinie Pneumatik - ISO 4414/EN 983" ("Execution guideline pneumatics - ISO 4414/EN 983") of Technical Section "Fluid power systems" of the Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee (NAM) at DIN. Representatives of manufacturers and users of pneumatic systems and their components, and of the employers' liability insurance associations contributed to the preparation of the standard.
