DIN EN ISO 28927-11
Hand-held portable power tools - Test methods for evaluation of vibration emission - Part 11: Stone hammers (ISO 28927-11:2011); German version EN ISO 28927-11:2011
Handgehaltene motorbetriebene Maschinen - Messverfahren zur Ermittlung der Schwingungsemission - Teil 11: Steinbearbeitungsmaschinen (ISO 28927-11:2011); Deutsche Fassung EN ISO 28927-11:2011
Overview
This standard specifies the particular requirements for measurement of vibration emission at the handles of hand-held stone hammers and engraving pens intended for use by stone masons. It is not applicable for demolition hammers or to chipping hammers primarily intended for use on metal or in construction, nor is it applicable for scaling hammers and needle scalers (for the latter, see DIN EN ISO 28927-9) This standard describes a laboratory method for measuring vibration emission values to be given in the instruction handbook. Therewith, this standard supports the essential requirements of the Machinery Directive. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN EN ISO 8662-14:1997-03: a) the standard covers only stone hammers; b) vibrations are measured in three axes and at both hand positions; c) new transducer locations have been specified for the measurements; d) the directions of measurement have been modified; e) the energy absorber has been deleted and all tools are tested on stone. The International Standard ISO 28927-11 has been prepared by ISO/TC 118/SC 3 "Pneumatic tools and machines", in collaboration with CEN/TC 231 "Mechanical vibration and shock". The responsible German committee is NA 001-03-07-02 (NALS/VDI C 7.2) "Hand-Arm-Schwingungen" ("Hand-arm vibration").
