Measurement of vibration immissions - Part 1: Vibration meters - Requirements and tests

Abstract

This document specifies requirements for vibration meters as well as tests graded according to complexity and accuracy. These vibration meters, which are used in the field of immission control, can be used to measure mechanical vibrations (shocks, vibrations) that affect buildings and/or people in buildings. Requirements for frequency and time evaluation are specified as the basis for determining assessment parameters, which are based on the specifications in DIN 4150-2 and DIN 4150-3, among others. This document specifies the minimum tests to be carried out by the manufacturer, user or on their behalf, in order to demonstrate alignment with the requirements for the vibration meter. It also specifies the information to be included in the documentation of the respective test. DIN 45669-2 specifies the measurement procedure and the coupling of the vibration transducers. The assessment of the measured values with regard to immission control is not in the scope of this document.
