Overview
This International Standard specifies a horizontal method for the detection of Escherichia coli (E. coli) serogroup O157 and is applicable to food and feed. This standard contains the amendment to DIN EN ISO 16654:2001. The test method described in the standard has been validated by interlaboratory tests. As a result, the amendments relate to Clause 12 "Test report", which is now numbered as Clause 13. Clause 12 is now called "Performance characteristics of the method". Another change is the inclusion of an Annex B (informative) "Results of interlaboratory tests". The responsible committee for this standard is NA 057-01-06 AA "Mikrobiologie der Lebensmittelkette" ("Microbiology of the food chain") at DIN Standards Committee Food and Agricultural Products.
