Nachhaltiges Veranstaltungsmanagement - Anforderungen mit Anleitung zur Anwendung (ISO 20121:2012)
Overview
This International Standard specifies requirements how a sustainable management system for events can be established, implemented, maintained, documented and continuously improved. These events include sport events, music and art festivals, concerts, fairs, conferences, meetings, sales events and other events between business partners. This standard identifies the most important sustainability topics, such as selection of the venue, course of the events, procurement, communication, transport and other topics. The standard shall enable those operating in the events sector to plan and carry out their events in a sustainable manner so their environmental pollution as well as financial and social effects can be directed and minimized. In order to implement the requirements contained and to simplify the application of the standard, the annex contains an application guide with additional useful information. With this standard a conformity assessment of the own sustainability politics is enabled by publication of the declaration of conformity or by means of certification by a notified body. This International Standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 250 "Project committee; Sustainability in event management", the secretariat of which is held by BSI (United Kingdom). The responsible German committee is NA 159-01-14 AA "Nachhaltiges Veranstaltungsmanagement" ("Sustainability in event management") at the Services Standards Committee (NADL).
