Standardization - Part 4: Working procedure
Abstract
DIN 820-4 defines the course of business for DIN's standardization work. In addition, it is applicable for internal standardization. The document was prepared by the working committee NA 173-00-01 AA "Standardization Principles" in the DIN Standards Committee Fundamentals of Standardization Work (NAGLN) and published by the DIN Executive Committee. According to the German Standardization Strategy, one of DIN's objectives is to secure Germany's position as one of the leading economic nations through standardization. It is therefore the task of the offices of the DIN standards committees to involve German stakeholders in European and international standardization work as transparently and smoothly as possible right from the standards development stage. When a European or international standard is adopted, the course of business for national standardization projects is based on the course of business at the European and international working level.
