Standardization - Part 1: Principles
Abstract
The basic standard DIN 820-1 specifies the general principles, organization and results of standardization work. These apply to the bodies of DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung e. V. and to other organizations as well as to everyone, including the "public", insofar as their participation is provided for in this standard. Furthermore, it is recommended that they be applied mutatis mutandis in the standardization of works. DIN 820-1 was prepared by the working committee NA 173-00-01 AA "Standardization principles" in the DIN Standards Committee for the Fundamentals of Standardization Work (NAGLN).
