DIN Standards Committee Principles of Standardization

Overview

DIN 820-13 specifies rules for structuring and drafting DIN documents into which ISO and CENELEC documents, or European standards of ETSI (former name: ETS) are implemented, generally only the German version; in special cases one language version or all language versions or in justified exceptional cases only the English version is/are additionally incorporated. This document maybe also applied by analogy to the adoption of other ETSI documents. If no special differentiation is necessary, the following CEN, CENELEC or ETSI documents are hereinafter collectively referred to as documents: European Standards (EN), Harmonization Documents (HD), Technical Specifications (TS), Technical Reports (TR), CEN Workshop Agreements (CWA) and guides. They are implemented as standard, specification, supplement or printed communication of DIN. Possibilities for implementation are given in Table A.1. This document also applies for the implementation of electronic versions of documents which are published by CEN, CENELEC or ETSI. The key aspect for the revision of DIN 820-13:2010-07 is the necessary adaptation of the specifications for the order of the German language version to the corresponding regulations of the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations - Part 3:2015, Annex ZC. The responsible committee is Working Committee NA 173-00-02 AA "Gestaltung von Normen" ("Presentation of documents") at DIN Standards Committee Principles of Standardization (NAGLN).
