Normungsarbeit - Teil 120: Leitfaden für die Aufnahme von Sicherheitsaspekten in Normen (ISO/IEC Guide 51:1999)
Overview
DIN 820-120 contains specifications for the presentation of standards with safety-related specifications. It contains the German version of ISO/IEC Guide 51 "Safety aspects - Guidelines for their inclusion in standards", additional specifications for exclusively national standards with safety-related specifications as well as examples for formulation of warnings in test standards. The standard specifies a structure for the integration of safety aspects in standards. It is based on a risk-related approach and refers to the total lifespan of a product, method or service. With the publication of the current edition of DIN 820-120, DIN 820-12:1995-01 "Standardization - Part 12: Guidelines for the inclusion of safety aspects in standards" is withdrawn. For this purpose, essential specifications from DIN 820-12 which are not already contained in another part of DIN 820 have been revised with regard to their content and summarized in a new national Annex NC "Additional national specifications". DIN 820-120 has been prepared by Working Committee NA 173-00-02 AA "Gestaltung von Normen" ("Presentation of standards") at the Principles of Standardization Standards Committee (NAGLN) at DIN e. V.
